Weekly Winners August 16th-22nd
I read a post from a photographer a while ago about documenting everyday life with photos. I wish I could remember where I read it so I could post the link. As I read it I realized that I have been guilty of not capturing the little things. Since I have become more interested in photography, sometimes I am more worried about the quality of my photo than I am about capturing the moments. These moments while my kids are still young are flying by. This week I tried to capture a few more of our everyday moments.

I’m guilty, too, of trying to find the perfect setting, and perfect composition for every photo I take. I guess I feel guilty if my picture only looks like an ordinary snapshot. But in the end, I’m not making money taking pictures of my kids; so capturing everyday moments is what matters most. Great pictures, Kerry, and a great reminder about taking all the pictures we can while our kids are growing up.

I struggle with this exact same thing. I don’t want my photos to look like snapshots
But I am coming to terms with the fact that there is a time and a place for snapshots, too.
