Yesterday was Emma’s big dance recital. She couldn’t wait for the big day. She was great! And I’m not just saying that because I’m her mom. She was one of the only ones who knew the whole dance. The other girls were watching her to see what to do. You could see she was concentrating so hard! She was mouthing the words to the steps “shuffle-step, shuffle-step”. Now she is just thrilled that she can play dress up with the costume.
When I took these photos we were in a huge hurry. The lighting was terrible, and Emma didn’t want to cooperate. So, the photos are not great, but at least we have the cute memories!

I think the photos are nice. Truly. The lighting is dramatic in places (appropriate for dance shots). And the lighting is natural — always a good way to go.
