I can’t believe how close our annual trip to Maui is. My mom is leaving in just about a week. I leave with the kids on December 8th. Did I mention that I am flying by MYSELF with a 4 year old, a 2 year old, and a newborn???? I think I might be insane by the time I get there Actually, I don’t think it will be too bad. The worst parts will be going through security, and getting on the plane. After that we should be OK. I’ll just have my mom bring a bottle of wine for when I get off the plane

We went to the mall in Raleigh a few days ago. We went into a bathing suit store to look for some suits. I know that I won’t fit in any of my bikinis…and it would be a scary sight anyway. So, I was looking for a one piece, or a tankini with underwire support. The problem is, anything that is big enough for my milk makers comes in the worst prints and colors! I guess that they figure anyone who is that size must also be blind. I found one that was blue and brown that I liked. I tried on the top, and it actually fit pretty well in the chest. I decided to try on the bottom too. It wasn’t too terrible, but not great either. As I was taking it off, Nora decided she needed to eat. Since I was in the dressing room, I decided it was a perfect place to nurse. I didn’t put my shirt back on, I just picked her up and sat on the bench in front of the mirror. What a mistake!

I have been feeling fairly good about the way I look, considering I just had a baby 6 weeks ago. While I nursed Nora I started really looking at myself in the mirror. I did not like what I saw! Granted, I was sitting all hunched over, but I have fat in places I never have before. My belly is still a lot bigger than I thought it was and my back even looks flabby. I know that I will get back to my old self, but I am not ready to start dieting yet. Nora is just too little and I don’t want to mess with my milk supply yet.

I am not looking forward to wearing a bathing suit on a daily basis in Maui! Hopefully everyone will be looking at Nora and the other kids, and nobody will notice me
