The kids woke up at four am this morning! I thought that this trip they would wake up a little later, since we got in so late this year. We didn’t go to bed until around 11 pm, but they still woke up early. I was exhausted when they woke up. I had a terrible sleep–Nora didn’t think sleeping in the pack in play at the foot of our bed was such a great idea. She wanted to nurse almost the whole night. I tried to transfer her to her own bed a few times, but she woke as soon as I moved her. Luckily, Scott got up with the kids and let me sleep about another 2 hours.

As soon as I got up the kids wanted to go swimming. They couldn’t wait for 9:00am for the pool to open. We went for a walk on the beach. Emma loves searching for beach glass. Last year it was one of her favorite things to do, and she still loves it. I walked around with them and had fun shooting some photos. I got a great shot of Emma (I’ll post it tomorrow for Weekly Winners . I tried shooting some flowers, but it was a little too windy. They kept coming out blurry. I’ll try again when it is a little calmer.

Today was mostly filled with errands, but we did squeeze in a few hours at the pool. The kids are thrilled to be here!
