On the road again….

We flew to California today, for our Disneyland trip. The flight was uneventful. Scott sat in first class with Emma and Ian. Nora and I sat in the back. Only 3 of us could upgrade, and I figured it wasn’t worth Nora sitting in first class–she was in a car seat, and she wouldn’t eat any of the snacks anyway. As it turned out, it was nice sitting in the back with her. She slept almost the whole flight and I just got to relax and read my magazines :-)

After we got all settled in we went to see Auntie Suzie and Uncle Quay. The kids had a great time at their house. Sue is so great with the kids! She took them in the back yard to pick cumquats and lemons off their trees. Emma loved the cumquats, and I did too. Then the kids made homemade lemonade with Aunt Sue. They had so much fun squeezing the lemons. Emma and Ian were sitting on stools drinking their lemonade. I got a glass to give some to Nora. I poured a tiny bit into a glass for her, and gave it to her. She shuddered made a terrible face, and stuck her tongue out and tried to rub it off her tongue. I didn’t know, but I gave her straight lemon juice!

Then we went to the Brown’s for dinner. It was such a fun and crazy night. There were so many kids. It was really fun to be there with some of Scott’s oldest friends. We have all come such a long way, and now we all have kids. Jim and Megan’s twins are so cute! They are identical, but little Jeffery is 4 pounds smaller than Roy, so they look very different. I can’t believe they are already 5 months. Greg and Misha’s baby Barrett is a cute pudgy baby. He has the cutest cheeks and the biggest brown eyes. I held Jeffery a lot, and it was nice to hold a little baby again, but I didn’t wish I had one!

The kids loved our “hootel” room. The bunk beds were a big hit. The hotel is nice, not fancy, but nice. I think the “kid suite” will work out good for us. It is basically a normal hotel room with sliding bay doors separating the 2 rooms. They have glass panels with sheer curtains on them. It would be better if they had light blocking curtains, but at least we aren’t all in one big room.

The kids can’t wait to go to Disneyland tomorrow!

I can just see Nora’s little face with the lemon juice!!! LOL

You’ll have to email me and tell me what “hootel” you’re at. My parents are planning a disney trip for us in October. *crossing fingers it all works out* :)

Have so much fun! (still really jealous over here… ;) )
