Happy four month birthday, my sweet girl! You are the happiest and sweetest baby ever. I am so lucky to have you in my life. You are so content all the time. You love to be held, but you are just as happy sitting in your Bumbo seat, or on your activity mat under your toys. The last few weeks you have been staring up at those toys. I could see your little mind working, trying to figure out how to get them. You first started batting at them, and this week you figured out how to grab them. You wriggled yourself over to the one with the frog in it, and you reached up and grabbed it. I could see in your eyes that you were so happy with yourself. I sat on the floor next to you and watched you. I felt so much love for you! I just wanted to freeze the moment and keep you like this forever!

You are at such a cute stage right now. You love to smile and are so happy. You can roll over, but you don’t do it very much. You are content to just lay on the floor and explore your hands. You love your feet. As soon as your diaper comes off you pull your legs up to grab your feet and try to get them into your mouth.

You are really a good sleeper. I swaddle you, and lay you down in your bassinet and you drift off to sleep on your own. I can tell that you are starting to prefer to be in your bassinet. You don’t really like to fall asleep in my arms, and you start to get fussy like you are telling me to put you down. You still sleep pretty well in your car seat, which is a good thing because we spend a fair amount of time in the car. We are always off to take Emma or Ian to one activity or another.

I am so happy that we decided to have a third child. I don’t know what I would have done without you in my life. I read a quote the other day that just sums it up for me…”She filled a place in our hearts that we never knew was empty”.
