I have been thinking about leaving Blogger for a while now. It all started after reading the “How to Blog” tutorials on Kerflop’s blog. Then I started looking around at some other blogs and seeing what cool designs and templates they had used.
Here are some of my favorites (They are both using Wordpress and the Oh So Very theme.)
My Love is Pink
I love the striped header, and also the pink pattern on the sides.

I love her header. I love how she has the tabs at the top with “About, Archives, and Contact”
Ever since I read those tutorials, I have been thinking about switching. I read all the steps and I kept getting stuck at the first one–registering my domain name. Mostly because I don’t love the name I am using now. “Kerry’s Ramblings” just isn’t all that exciting. I wanted to think up a new name before I registered it. But, I have been thinking and I just couldn’t come up with anything else I liked. I looked at some other names, and none of the names I could come up with were as cool as the ones that were already being used. I guess I am not very creative that way. So after 2 months of trying to think up a new name, I just decided to keep “Kerry’s Ramblings”. I am still open to suggestions, so if anyone has any other idea, let me know!
I took the plunge and registered my domain name with GoDaddy. Then I looked for someone to host my blog. I decided to go with Very Commerce. First because I love Jessica’s blog and I have been reading her so long. She was my inspiration for starting a blog in the first place. And, I like to support small family businesses.
So, now I am just waiting to hear back from them. I asked them to install Wordpress, and the Oh So Very theme. I have some ideas for how I want to change it, and how I want my blog to look. But, I am not sure if I will be able to make them all happen 
I have a limited knowledge of HTML, but I think I am pretty computer savvy, and hopefully I can learn what I need to. It should be fun!
