Pretty much my whole adult life I have slept with a down comforter on my bed. I have always loved how it was warm enough in the winter and not too hot in the summer. It was always the perfect weight for me too. Not to heavy when I laid under it, but not so light, that I couldn’t feel it.

A few months ago I decided I wanted to update the bedding on our bed. I wanted to get something chocolate brown and light blue. I went to my two favorite places–Bed, Bath, & Beyond and Linens and Things. I couldn’t find a duvet cover, but I found a really cute comforter set. Being a total girl, I decided that looks were more important than function I talked myself into it. It would work out great. I wouldn’t miss the down comforter. This new set would look so great on our bed, I just had to have it.

Then the summer came. It was just too hot. So, I bought a thin blanket to sleep with. We could just fold the comforter down by our feet. That seemed to be working, but making the bed was such a pain. I was used to just throwing the down comforter up over the bed. Then the winter came, and is just too heavy for me with the blanket and the comforter. The whole thing turned out to be a total pain, and I just miss my down comforter.

I decided to just go out and find a brown and blue duvet cover. I didn’t want to have to buy everything new, so I figured just a duvet in the same colors would be perfect. I found the perfect one at Restoration Hardware. I LOVED it! I got online to order it, and guess what? The brown and blue was sold out. UGH! I went shopping to every bedding store I could think of–online and in real life. I could not find a brown and blue duvet to save my life. I called Restoration Hardware to beg and see if there was any way I could find the one they had, but no luck. I checked ebay and craigslist. No luck.

Today Scott sent me a link to Restoration Hardware to show me a robe that he wanted. I decided to check on the duvet cover and…THEY HAD IT BACK IN STOCK, and it was on sale. I am so excited. So, I ordered a little Christmas present for myself too. I can’t wait to get it!
