When I was a little girl I loved dolls. Not Barbie dolls–I hated them
–but baby dolls. It was a huge treat to get a new baby doll. I especially loved all of the stuff that went along with them. I loved to dress them, and feed them, and push them around in the carriage. I was so excited when I had a girl, because I couldn’t wait to share this with her.
However, it seems like Emma didn’t inherit my love of baby dolls. Last Christmas I was so excited and got her a “My Twinn” doll. She opened it, and probably never looked at it again
If she likes any dolls, I think she will like Barbie type dolls. UGH.
Instead of dolls, Emma has a stuffed pink hippo that she loves. She named it Little Darling. I have no idea how she came up with the name, but she named it herself. She likes to dress it up, and pretend that it is a real baby. Yesterday she dressed it in her dress up outfit. When we were on our way home from the airport this week, she kept saying “I can’t wait to see Little Darling!” It was really cute.
