It’s Wintertime!!

This morning I woke up to a very excited Ian next to my bed. He came running into our room saying “Mommy, Mommy!” Then he looked right into my face and said “Mommy, come quick! It is wintertime!!” He was so animated and so excited. I couldn’t help getting right up out of bed to let him show me. He walked me over to the window to show me all the snow!! Yep. That is right, it snowed in September ;-) Wow! The golf course is all white, and our lawn is totally covered. I would guess we got about 2-3 inches. Crazy!

This baby is still hanging in there. I have been having tons of contractions, but they just don’t seem to lead to anything. They are making me a bit anxious, kind of like teasing me. But, I am trying to stay patient, and know that this baby will come when it is ready. I am just not used to all these contractions, I have never had so many false alarms in the past. But, sometime in the next couple of weeks I will be holding this new babe :-) Mom and Dad are in Forest Creek for the weekend, but I don’t think that is holding me back at all. I am not worried about them being gone. If I go into labor, we will just have Dava take the kids. I still don’t know what I want to do after I have the baby. I am not sure if I want someone to take the kids or not. I guess we can just play it by ear after the baby gets here.

We got our new hot tub this week!! It came on Tuesday. They didn’t have the pad they were supposed to put it on, so we had to do a temporary set up. We set it up on the patio, under the deck. I couldn’t wait to get it filled and heated so we could use it. It is awesome!! Scott and I have been going in it every night since we got it. It is so nice and relaxing after we put the kids to bed. I have really been enjoying it. We took the kids in too, and they loved it. It is like a pool for Emma. She was swimming all over. I think it is a fun thing for our family!

Our house has really come together nicely! Our yard looks great–Alex finished the flagstone path and patio this week. It really added a lot to the yard. Now I can’t wait to buy some trees and bushes to plant along the path. It will give us some privacy from the neighbors, and really add to the look of the path. But, we are really happy with our house. The stereo system that Scott worked so hard on has been great! It has been so nice that we have had some extra money to put in the little touches that we wanted. Next summer we would like to add a firepit. I would still like to get a new rug for the kitchen, and some new barstools. I’d like a few more large pictures. Scott still wants to get a weight bench or set. But, it has turned out really great, and we are thrilled to be living here!!

Now, we are just waiting for baby ;-)
