Today was Ian’s last day of skiing in the Deer Valley ski program. They put on a whole graduation program. It was so cute! They had all the kids at the top of the hill. They announced each child’s name and then they skied down with their teachers. All the parents cheered them on. When they got to the bottom each child was given a “medal”–it was really a big cookie wrapped in tin foil. Then they shook the bears hand and got a diploma. Deer Valley is amazing, and they really went all out.
When Ian skied down he was so funny. He did this little hop each time he turned. He was trying to do tricks
I was so happy with the program this year and how much he learned. He started out barely able to ski, and he finished up as an intermediate skier. He ended up skiing blue runs, and started to learn how to match his skis. He has really come a long way!
