Here is my Fit-It Friday attempt for this week.
Using Photoshop CS2 here is what I did to the photo. The first thing I did was to rotate the image and then crop it just a little bit.
Next I used the spot healing brush tool to fix some of the little blemishes and scratches.
After that I thought it needed some brightening. I made a new layer and changed the layer from “Normal” to “Screen”. Then I used the eraser tool and erased the normal layer from just the face letting the brighter “screen” layer show through.
Next I sharpened just the eyes because they seemed just a bit out of focus. I tried Julie Rivera’s eye technique for the first time. Thanks Julie
Then I lassoed the iris of both eyes, made a new layer, then used Filter>Option>High Pass. Then I changed the layer mode to Soft Light.
Last, I used a slight vignette to darken the edges just a bit more.
I also decided to do a black and white version of this one. I used my edited version of the photo above. All I did was to run the Mono High Key LC action from 1-Click PortraitEffects. I lowered the opacity to about 50% and that’s it.
Go check out I ♡ Faces to see all the other Fix-it Friday participants!

Those are two very beautiful edits. I just LOVE what you did to his eyes – they are deep and yet still bright and stunning – GORGEOUS!!
