I had a great time in San Francisco. I feel so lucky that I was able to spend a few days alone with Scott. I love the kids, but being a mom is hard work. It was so nice to get a break for a couple of days. Scott worked quite a bit, but we got to spend the evenings together, and I spent a day and a half exploring, shopping, and taking pictures. It was so nice to know that the kids were well taken care of. I wasn’t worried about them at all. They had a great time at my parents house–they didn’t even want to come home when we got there to pick them up. Emma and Ian ran to hide when they heard us come in the door. Nora came running to me, but pushed me away as soon as she saw Scott. I guess she didn’t miss me

Yesterday my dad took Emma and Ian skiing by himself. They are so lucky to have a grandpa that is willing to do those kinds of things with them. Taking the two of them skiing is hard work! My dad said that Emma is totally self sufficient skiing now. She can get her own skis on, and gets on the lift all by herself. He said he had Emma lead, and Ian followed her, then he was the caboose. I guess they attracted a lot of attention and lots of skiers stopped to talk to them I am so glad that they are all able to spend time together like that.

Thanks mom and dad for taking such good care of the kids so Scott and I could spend a few days together. I love you!
