Scott reminded me of this story about Ian last week. I have been meaning to write it down ever since.

A few weeks ago, when we were in North Carolina, we took the kids to the zoo. The zoo there is HUGE. There are 2 entrances to the park. We parked in the Africa section. We ended up in the North America section. So, we had to take a shuttle bus back to our car at the other entrance. Ian sat in a seat with Scott, and I sat across from them with Emma and Nora.

When it was time to get off, Ian stood up first. There was a woman in front of him that was over weight. Ian’s face was about even with her back side. He looked up at her, and put up his arms, like he was measuring how wide she was and said “Hey Dad, that’s a HUGE butt”. Scott didn’t respond right away and kind of tried to ignore him. So he said it again “HEY DAD, THAT’S A HUGE BUTT”.

Luckily, she never turned around. I was never sure if she heard him or not. Scott had all he could do to keep a straight face!
