Yesterday we had an eventful day. Scott got back from Catalina on Saturday night. I was really glad to have him back. I felt like he had been gone forever! The kids were really glad to see him–they missed him a lot too. Sunday we got up and went to Home Depot to get the garage cabinets. It was perfect, they had just the right ones that we wanted, so we didn’t have to go driving around SLC to pick them up! We got them home, and went to work. Boy was it a lot of work! I didn’t realize how much work it would be to put them all together. But, they turned out great. They still need a bit more work, but for the most part, they are done.
When we started putting them together in the morning, I noticed that I was having quite a few contractions. They were fairly close together, and they started to get uncomfortable. I was surprised that they stayed that way for awhile. I told Scott about it, and he seemed worried like he thought it was too soon to have the baby. I wasn’t worried, because I just didn’t think it could be “real” at only 37 weeks. So, I kept working and they faded. But by the evening around 5:00pm they came back again, and very powerful. I almost had to breathe through each one. I showered and got ready to go to dinner at my mom and dads house. But first I decided to pack my birth center bag, and put the infant seat in the car. I was getting convinced that it could be real. But, at dinner they calmed down again. I was still feeling them every so often, but not as powerful. I was exhausted, and couldn’t wait to get home and get to bed!
I woke up a few times in the night, and knew that nothing was happening. I have noticed a few more contractions this morning and through the night last night, but nothing like yesterday. So, who knows. Maybe this baby won’t be late afterall
Today is Labor Day, and we are going to take the kids to the parade. Then the plan is to go to SLC and go to the Bullfrog Spa store. Scott really wants to get a hot tub, and they are having a great sale this weekend. Maybe we will be buying one today
