Here are the photos I took while on our road trip to Boise. There are so many more good ones. I can’t wait to edit them all!

I have been working on a new blog for my photography business for a while now. I finally got it up and running. It still needs to be tweaked a bit, but at least it is functional
Hopefully now I can get back to the original intent of this blog–to post funny stories and memories about my family.
Come over and check out my new blog:

I’d love for you to visit and leave me a comment to let me know what you think.
I photographed one of my best friends daughters this week. They were one of the first families I photographed last year when I was just starting out. They came back this week for more. We chose a tough location…the sun was really bright and then gone. Then it got REALLY COLD! I think we still ended up with some nice shots. Here you go Yori!

For all of you photography buffs, please come check out my new photography website at www.kerrysundahlphotography.com/blog ! I will be keeping this blog to post about my family and I’ll be moving most of my photography stuff to my new blog. I am having a giveaway this week. Come check it out!
This photo was very underexposed, but that was really the only big problem. This one was actually pretty easy to correct. I opened it in ACR and increased the brightness and exposure. I adjusted the white balance using the sliders until it looked good to my eye. I increased the clarity just a tiny bit.
Then I opened it in Photoshop CS4 and did a few curves adjustments to fine tune the white balance. I brightened the eyes a bit using MCP Actions eyedoctor. I added a soft light layer at very low opacity and that was it.
Here is my final result:

Our weekend at Disneyland!
I decided to leave my big camera at home this weekend. I just brought the point and shoot so I didn’t have to worry about my camera and so I could just enjoy being with my kiddos. We had a great time.
Here are a few snap shots from our weekend.

I had such a great time with this adorable family. The boys were both so handsome and a lot of fun. We told lots of jokes and had a good time. I have lots of favorites from this session. I had a hard time narrowing them all down. I just wanted to show you all a quick peek before the weekend.
I hope you love them. I’ll let you know when your gallery is ready.
A friend of mine and fellow photographer Heidi, had all of her camera gear stolen out of her car yesterday. EVERYTHING was lost. She had her laptop and portable hard drive in there too. She left a wedding shoot and planned to work on her computer between the wedding and the reception. She stopped for a 5 minute errand. Apparently she was followed from the wedding. When she got back everything was gone. The worst part is that she lost all those images. She had clients who had paid for sessions and a wedding that she was currently working on. All were lost. Everything she had been working on for the last year is gone. I can’t imagine how devastated she must feel. You can read the whole story on her blog here.
Another photographer in Salt Lake has generously set up a donation page for her. Hopefully we can spread the word and help her replace her equipment. Please go check out his blog and donate if you are able.
I had the pleasure of photographing my good friend’s family this past weekend. We originally scheduled the session for Tuesday, but the weather wasn’t looking good. We decided to reschedule it for Sunday. I’m sure glad we did! I was exhausted after my weekend workshop, but the 5 inches of snow we got Tuesday wouldn’t have made for a very fun photo shoot.
Here is a sneak peek at their adorable family.
So, this might be one of my favorite sessions EVER. These little girls are so gorgeous and they were amazing for me. They giggled and laughed and were so much fun. And their outfits were to die for! I couldn’t decided which ones to pick, so I just picked a bunch.
This last one might be one of my favorite images ever. I really love it!!
Wanna see what I have been doing this weekend? I attended and awesome photography workshop–Rock That Off Camera Flash, with Ali Hohn. I got to hang around with some fun talented photographers (Hi Heidi
) and learn more about flash photography. We had so many laughs and it was a really great weekend. I’m sad to see it come to an end.
The style is very different from what I usually do, but it was a lot of fun. Here are some of my favorite images from the weekend.
