I had a great day today in San Francisco. I got here around 1:00pm. I took a shuttle to the hotel. Scott surprised me by taking a break from the convention and meeting me at the hotel for a little while. Then he had to go back, and I decided to go out and take pictures and explore.
We are staying right at Fisherman’s Wharf. It is a perfect location to walk right out the door and see lots of great sights. The first place I went was to find some lunch…I was starving. I couldn’t wait to go to the fish markets. That is one of my favorite things to do in San Francisco. It is one of my fondest memories from coming here as a teenager with my mom and auntie Carol Anne.
My favorite thing to eat is a shrimp salad sandwich on sourdough bread. I found just what I was looking for.
I walked around the corner and found a bench to sit down on to eat. I sat down next to the water and looked over the edge and saw this in the water below:
I set my sandwich down, so I could snap a few pictures. When I did that, a sea gull flew right up and sampled some of my sandwich. I was only about 6 inches away, so he was pretty brave!
After I ate I spent hours just wandering around snapping photos. I was so happy to be here with Scott, and to have a few hours totally to myself! I don’t think I stopped smiling all afternoon.

How nice Kerry, smile away….
love,
Yori
