Disney World Vacation

We had a great trip to Disney World! It went so well, and everyone had such a great time. Scott and I flew in on Saturday from SLC. We all got to sit in first class–what a treat. We got into Orlando and took Disney transportation to our hotel. That was probably the only mistake we made the whole trip ;-) It took forever and we had to stop at 4 hotels before ours. But we finally got to the Grand Floridian and got all checked in. Bryan was there already, and we met up with him in our room. We quickly got our luggage and headed to the park to eat. We went on some rides and spent most of our time in Fantasy Land. The kids loved it! Ian didn’t know what to think about the rides. He looked around with big wide eyes! The first ride we went on was Peter Pan. It was so much fun! Mom and Dad had some confusion and didn’t make it to the hotel until later than they expected. They went to the wrong hotel ;-) They didn’t come to the park the first night. We stayed and watched the fireworks right next to the castle. They were amazing. It was a great few hours in the park!!

Sunday we got up a bit late, and then had a really nice breakfast all together in the hotel. Then we headed over to the park. We went on “It’s a small world” and everyone loved it! I let Emma and Ian ride with Mom & Dad. I sat behind them and just watched. Emma kept squealing and pointing at things. Ian was really excited. I just looked at my Dad and he had a huge smile on his face the whole time. I just felt so lucky, I started to get a bit teary eyed. I can’t believe how lucky we are, and how much we all have together.

The rest of the time was just a whirlwind. We spent time at the park, then back at the hotel, then back at the park again. We had a fantastic dinner with Harry Zimmerman at the Wilderness lodge–the kids slept in the stroller the whole time :-) After that the kids were ready to go. They had extra magic hours that night until 1:00am–that was the best time of our whole trip. The park was nearly empty and we just walked right up to the front of every line. It was great! Our last night we had dinner at our hotel with Cinderella. The food was mediocre, but Emma got all dressed up in her new princess dress, and she was in heaven! We finished off the trip with the last showing of fireworks. I sat there watching the fireworks and listening to the music. It was called wishes. I listened to the words about dreams and wishes coming true. I started to get all choked up again. I listened and thought about how lucky I am, and how many blessings I have in my life. I could honestly not think of one wish that I could make to make my life better. I have such a wonderful life already! I have so many wonderful people in my life. I have a fantastic husband who I couldn’t love more. I have 2 beautiful kids and another one on the way. I have my wonderful parents around me who love me, and love the kids and would do anything for us. We are all truly lucky!
