We made another trip to the ER with Ian last night! He fell down in the living room and hit his right ear on the end table in the living room in NC. I knew he was really hurt when I picked him up. He was really crying hard. And then I noticed that he was bleeding. I looked at his ear and it was split open. I first thought it was all the way through his ear, but luckily it wasn’t. But it definitely needed some attention, so Scott and I took him to the ER. By the time we got there it had stopped bleeding, and he was totally happy. He was the hit of the hospital. All the nurses loved him–he is adorable but I also don’t think the see many kids down here. The doc came in, and decided to use Dermabond. It seemed to work great. It sealed it up nicely, and with a lot less pain than stiches!! It was the fastest ER visit ever–I think we were out the door within 30 minutes. Ian didn’t seem any worse for the wear. At least it was his ear, where we don’t need to worry about a scar!
