Anyone who has been following my blog for a while will know what this is. Everyone else can read about it here. I have decided to participate again this year. It might be a bigger challenge this year! I am really out of the habit of posting daily. I usually just post photos and photography stuff. I thought this might be a good time to get back to why I started this blog in the first place–to write about my family. (Yori, I know you are jumping up and down right now!
)
Bring on the daily blogging!
I had such a great time with this adorable family. The boys were both so handsome and a lot of fun. We told lots of jokes and had a good time. I have lots of favorites from this session. I had a hard time narrowing them all down. I just wanted to show you all a quick peek before the weekend.
I hope you love them. I’ll let you know when your gallery is ready.
A friend of mine and fellow photographer Heidi, had all of her camera gear stolen out of her car yesterday. EVERYTHING was lost. She had her laptop and portable hard drive in there too. She left a wedding shoot and planned to work on her computer between the wedding and the reception. She stopped for a 5 minute errand. Apparently she was followed from the wedding. When she got back everything was gone. The worst part is that she lost all those images. She had clients who had paid for sessions and a wedding that she was currently working on. All were lost. Everything she had been working on for the last year is gone. I can’t imagine how devastated she must feel. You can read the whole story on her blog here.
Another photographer in Salt Lake has generously set up a donation page for her. Hopefully we can spread the word and help her replace her equipment. Please go check out his blog and donate if you are able.
I had the pleasure of photographing my good friend’s family this past weekend. We originally scheduled the session for Tuesday, but the weather wasn’t looking good. We decided to reschedule it for Sunday. I’m sure glad we did! I was exhausted after my weekend workshop, but the 5 inches of snow we got Tuesday wouldn’t have made for a very fun photo shoot.
Here is a sneak peek at their adorable family.
So, this might be one of my favorite sessions EVER. These little girls are so gorgeous and they were amazing for me. They giggled and laughed and were so much fun. And their outfits were to die for! I couldn’t decided which ones to pick, so I just picked a bunch.
This last one might be one of my favorite images ever. I really love it!!
Wanna see what I have been doing this weekend? I attended and awesome photography workshop–Rock That Off Camera Flash, with Ali Hohn. I got to hang around with some fun talented photographers (Hi Heidi
) and learn more about flash photography. We had so many laughs and it was a really great weekend. I’m sad to see it come to an end.
The style is very different from what I usually do, but it was a lot of fun. Here are some of my favorite images from the weekend.
