I am not going to say it this month! I’ll wait until next month and then complain that the year has gone by too fast

I don’t feel like Nora has made any big developments in the last month. She is still crawling everywhere and pulling herself up on everything. She isn’t really cruising much yet, and walking still seems to be a ways off–I am crossing my fingers. She has stood on her own, but not for long, and not too many times. I have held her hands to see if she wants to practice taking steps, but she really isn’t very interested. She just sits down! I am not in any hurry for her to walk.

She still doesn’t have any teeth, and I can’t see any coming in. But, it isn’t stopping her from eating. She really loves to eat. She will eat anything and everything. I think I finally found the first thing she doesn’t like. I gave her a piece of lettuce the other day. She stuck out her tongue and reached into her mouth and scraped her tongue to try to get it out. It was funny! I think it must have been bitter. Besides that, she loves everything. She has decided that she likes baby food again. For breakfast I usually give her a Yo-Baby, or a jar of baby food from Earth’s Best. She loves Cheerios, and she eats a lot of them.

Nora is still easy going, but she is definitely making herself heard lately. Last night we went to dinner at Elliot’s. She started shrieking, and Bryan said “I thought she was a quiet baby?”. Ha Ha. She used to be, but she has discovered her voice. And she really does shriek to get what she wants. She is not a very good traveler lately, either. She has had her own seat, but she just looks at us from her car seat and yells. Emma and Ian were always so good travelling in their car seats. But, Nora just looks at us from her car seat like she can’t understand why she is in there!

Sleeping is going much better. She has been sleeping through a lot more often lately. Last night she woke up once. I am afraid to talk about it too much–I don’t want to jinx my good luck!

I am planning on having Nora’s pictures taken next week for her 1 year photos. I have been planning her birthday party too. I think we are going to have a BBQ, and christen our new fire pit. We will just invite some of our family and friends. I don’t know where the year has gone
